Uttar Pradesh is a state that aesthetically defines India and its rich history as ancient as the time known. This state is where great sages have emerged, religions evolved, and two great epics of India, Ramayana and Mahabharata, have been inspired. With each progressing century, the state has vouched for the secularity of India by providing a home to various religions: Hindu, Jainism, Islamic, Buddhist, and more.
Although working in Uttar Pradesh was started by NIFAA in 2017 from Purkaji (Mujjafarnagar), a full state-level executive of the Uttar Pradesh branch was announced recently on 7 January 2021 in Lucknow, the capital city of the state. Finding the right person to lead this biggest state of the country, having 75 districts, was a real challenge, but during the Samvedna Campaign, NIFAA Chairman Pritpal Singh Pannu met Sh. Sanjay Pandey, an experienced and energetic social worker of the state, took this very challenging job of organizing blood donation camps all across the state under the Samvedna campaign in his hands. Later, another young social worker and promoter of blood donation in the state, Sh. Dilip Kumar Dubey also joined him in this initiative. Both dedicated social leaders reached every nook and corner of the state and successfully organized hundreds of camps in Uttar Pradesh. Impressed with the working style and vision of NIFAA, both offered to take forward NIFAA activities in Uttar Pradesh. After a round of discussions, NIFAA opened a formal state branch with the hands of Sh. Binod Kumar Singh, IPS, and ADGP Uttar Pradesh.
During its association with NIFAA and even before its official launching, members of NIFAA Uttar Pradesh did commendable work. The state branch carried out relief work during the COVID-19 pandemic and provided groceries, cooked food, and medicine to needy persons. After the inauguration, the NIFAA state branch started a tree plantation. Through this drive, NIFAA reached out to passionate youth of the state and engaged them in social welfare activities. In the year 2023, Sh. Dileep Dubey was nominated as state president of NIFAA Uttar Pradesh, and under his leadership, NIFAA Uttar Pradesh has decided to open branches in all state districts before 21 September 2025, which will be the silver jubilee year of NIFAA’s foundation. With the able coordination and guidance of Mr Dilip Dubey various district branches of NIFAA organized blood donation camps under 75th year anniversary of India’s Independence, planted trees, organized cycle rides and initiated various other socially oriented activities. District branches of NIFAA Uttar Pradesh Branch also decides to run an extraordinary drive to promote voluntary blood donation in the state and make Uttar Pradesh self-sufficient in this sector.
