Tripura is famous for its cultivations, tea plantations, beautiful gardens, toy trains, etc. The state is known for its breathtaking scenic view and is renowned for its tribe culture and food. Rubber and tea are the important cash crops of the state. Its handicraft, particularly hand-woven cotton fabric, wood carvings, and bamboo products, is famous worldwide. In 2017, NIFAA organized One India Ride with a message of national integration and brotherhood. Twenty-nine young members of NIFAA, led by national chairman Pritpal Singh Pannu travelled by road to all states and union territories of the country. They conducted cultural performances, discussions, and tree plantations in all state capitals. Tripura was a new state for NIFAA members as none of them had visited this beautiful state in the past. Mr Bibhuti Debbarma, along with many NGOs of the state, extended a warm welcome to the One India Ride team members of NIFAA and organized a programme at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister of Agartala, Sh. Sahid Choudhary, was also invited on this occasion, along with all participants, to plant trees on the premises of the youth hostel to mark this historic visit of NIFAA members. In Harmony 2017, a cultural team of Tripura
visited Karnal. This team presented the state’s rich and stunning cultural performances on the main stage of this international youth and cultural festival. Out of this team, Mr Debashish Mazumder, a young social worker, proposed to open a branch of NIFAA in the state of Tripura and on his advice.
NIFAA officially launched the Tripura chapter in the press club of Agartala in January 2018. The young team of NIFAA Tripura did excellent activities for social welfare, social awareness, and nation- building. Their enthusiasm encouraged NIFAA national executive to organize their annual International Cultural Festival first time out of Haryana state, and Harmony 2018 was held in Tripura from 22 to 28 December 2018. The Honourable Governor of Tripura, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, inaugurated this festival as Chief Guest. He was so impressed that he visited this nine-day festival twice, which is rare. Many ministers of Tripura state also joined Harmony 2018 on different occasions. Artists from various states of India and foreign countries like Russia and Indonesia also reached India’s small and far away state. They performed their traditional dances with a message of peace and harmony. NIFAA Tripura state-organized peace rallies and environment rallies in all nooks and corners of the state. Go green India project in the state of Tripura was launched by the Honourable Governor of Tripura Sh. Ramesh Bais and after this launching, members of Tripura reached to all districts of the state and motivated people for maximum tree plantation and care to planted trees. In the year of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, NIFAA Tripura branches again planted trees, and the wife of the Chief Minister of Tripura also joined this historical drive. NIFAA, in association with other organizations, also organized State-level integration Gandhi Youth Camp. Celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, the NIFAA Tripura branch initiated various programmes throughout the state, including All religions prayers and cultural programme. The beekeeping training workshop was also organized to empower youth and women. NIFAA Tripura branch organized a programme, “Ek Sham Shaheedon Ke Naam”, on 15th August 2018 to remember the great sacrifices of our freedom fighters and soldiers. During the Corona crisis, the NIFAA Tripura branch came out to help all those in need and distribute groceries and food to thousands of people. They reached to people living in very faraway places in hills  and provided  them food and medicines. A new executive of state has been formed under the guidance of present state president Mr. Bibuti Deb Barma, and NIFAA Triputa team has vowed to took various initiatives to promote socio cultural activities in the state.
