A part of the Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, and being a host to Kangchenjunga, the highest peak in India and the third highest on Earth. Sikkim’s capital and largest city are Gangtok. National Integrated Forum of Artists & Activists, Sikkim State, was born on 6th May 2018 as the 22nd branch of NIFAA. In its first activity, NIFAA-SIKKIM sponsored Trophies and prizes in the Grand Finale of Sikkim Finding Star at Manan Kendra, Gangtok, East Sikkim, on 10th June 2018. Since then, we have conducted Youth Motivation lectures in Schools / Colleges and Organizations in various parts of Sikkim. Voluntary Blood Donation Camps were organized in the different places of Sikkim. World AIDS Day was observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS, Singtam Bazar, Gangtok, and Rongli Bazar on 1st December 2018. The NIFAA Sikkim team Participated in Harmony 2018 at Agartala, Tripura, from 22nd to 28th December 2018. Team Sikkim NIFAA, Supported and actively participated in a residential Dance & Music Workshop at Tek Youth Club House Hall, Govt. PS, Tek, South Sikkim from 6th to 22nd January 2019, Residential Youth Camp to Promote Volunteerism at Govt. JHS, Kartikey, Sumbuk, South Sikkim, in January and December 2019, and Volleyball Coaching Camp for Youths at Ben, South Sikkim, from 5th to 20th Feb 2019. World Environment Day was celebrated at District Hospital, Namchi, South Sikkim, on 5th June 2019 and 2020 by planting saplings. NIFAA Sikkim State welcomed Guru Nanak Sadhbhawana Yatra delegates at Rongpo, East Sikkim, on 9th September 2019, and Northeast Sadhbhawna Yatra at Sikkim in Jan 2020. During the first and second waves of Covid 19, all members of the NIFAA Sikkim team played an appreciable role in relief activities and reached out to all needy persons with groceries, medicines, and masks. NIFAA Sikkim State, with other NGOs, jointly organized the Swachhata Hi Sewa program on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji at Rongli, East Sikkim, on 2nd October 2019. The Samvedna Campaign – Blood & Plasma Donation launching function was held at Singtam Community Hall, East Sikkim, on 12th January 2021. NIFAA Volunteered, actively participated in the COVID-19 pandemic, and arranged blood/plasma for needy people. NIFAA Sikkim State received an Appreciation Letter &; cash award of Rs. 1,00,000 from the Governor of Sikkim at Raj Bhawan, Gangtok, on 26th November 2021.
