A French colony till 1954, Puducherry (earlier Pondicherry) is a small Union territory in India that retains a distinctly French ambiance and culture. It has a spiritual aura, an unspoiled stretch of beaches and backwaters, and a surprising mix of cuisines. Every year, it attracts thousands of tourists visit the Aurobindo Ashram to meditate and learn yoga. Adhwan, a cultural group of Puducherry, travelled to Karnal and presented their traditional cultural performances on the stage of Harmony 2017 and the International Cultural Festival.
