Karnataka is primarily known for its Heritage destinations and Wildlife/ National Parks. It is also famous for its magical hill stations, spectacular waterfalls, pilgrimage centres, and a 320km long coastline dotted with un-spoilt beaches. The state of Karnataka is a perfect blend of globalization with our country’s existing traditional virtues. From the I.T. hub of Bangalore to the Mysore Palace of the Maharajas, Karnataka has many unexplored facts that will leave you astonished! The National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists Karnataka branch started working in 2017 immediately after participating in Harmony 2017, an International Youth and Cultural Festival held in Karnal of Haryana. But it was officially launched on 27 September 2021 by noted Gandhian and social worker.
Dr S. N. Subba Rao Ji in a function organized at Gandhi Bhavan, Bangalore: former Chief Minister and former Union Minister Sh. D.V. Sadananda Gowda also joined as Chief Guest. Before its official launch, volunteers under Dr Ashwini Shetty’s guidance participated in various social welfare activities. Still, after it got official recognition, the NIFAA Karnataka team started organizing multiple events to better society. During the COVID lockdown, the NIFAA Karnataka team participated in various webinars organized by NIFAA H.Q. to motivate people and bring them out of depression—prominent speakers like Sh. Shiv Khera, B.K. Shivani, renowned singer Kailash Kher, and many more addressed these seminars. In association with other organizations, NIFAA Karnataka organized Blood Donation Camps in various districts of Karnataka State on 23.03.2021. Thirty-eight blood donation camps were organized under the nationwide Samvedna campaign for blood and plasma donation awareness in Karnataka. The total number of people registered for the Blood donation camp was 4,584, and the total number of people who donated blood was 2,708. National Service Scheme, Yenepoya Deemed to be University and Department of Youth Empowerments and Sports Government of Karnataka organized a free Health Screening Camp in association with National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists and Mega fans 1310(R) at Chikballabur district on 14 November 2021. Around 238 people were screened for diabetes, hypertension, anemia, and women-related disease. A Dental check-up camp was also part of it. The NIFAA state branch guided students of Karnataka to participate in the “World’s longest Webinar” organized by Mr Paramvir Singh under his campaign “Speak Up Friends” and raise their voices against the social evils of drug and child abuse. The World Book of Records London honored all participants with a certificate. In the future, the NIFAA Karnataka state executive has planned to make many more efforts to carry forward the organization’s vision in the state.
