There has always been a distance between the public and the administration in India, especially with the police department. One of the primary reasons for many law and order problems is that the ordinary person is afraid of the police department. Suppose there are good relations between law enforcement agencies and the public. In that case, immediate information can help to prevent many crimes before they occur, and criminals can be apprehended by receiving quick information of many crimes. Understanding the importance of community policing, NIFAA made a significant contribution in this field.
NIFAA organized various cultural events like Holi Milan Utsav, Basant Utsav, Baisakhi Mahotsav, and seminars in collaboration with the Police Department under the banner of NIFAA helped the police and public to meet each other on one platform and get to know each other’s ideas and concerns. Due to these programs, a large part of society has come forward to cooperate with the Police Department. NIFAA also played an essential role in organizing the “Rahgiri” program in Karnal, which has been going on continuously for over five years.
