NIFAA, the social, art, and cultural-based organization, began in September 2000 to mark a betterment and
perform various welfare activities. It was set up as a non-governmental social organization at the elementary level
and flagged as the National Institute of Fine Arts Samiti. Pritpal Singh Pannu, a prominent social worker, formed this
organization. It was soon renamed the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists, i.e. NIFAA.
NIFAA has found its niche in conducting various awareness activities in preventing social ills such as HIV AIDS, Drug
Addiction, Female Feticide, and Dowry Deterrence; it has been working towards the betterment of weaker sections
of the society, promotion of patriotic love and national integration, promotion of Indian folk arts and culture,
environment safety programs, women empowerment and child welfare, adventure excursions, and especially
cultural-based activities.
NIFAA is highly regarded by the community, with enthusiastic participation in its programs. The activities in the organisation is divided into two primary wings: the artists’ wing, which promotes Indian cultural activities and collaborates with international artists to preserve India’s cultural heritage, and the activists’ wing, which actively works on social progress initiatives.
NIFAA recognised as the best youth organization in the country by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, NIFAA has been honored with the National Youth Award. In addition to national and international accolades, NIFAA holds six Guinness World Records for raising social awareness on issues such as gender equality, world peace, a nuclear-weapons-free world, AIDS awareness, and the promotion of Kathak and health.
NIFAA’s efforts are supported by various prominent organizations, including the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the International AIDS Society, the Embassy of Japan, the Japan Foundation, the Ministry of Art & Culture Mauritius, the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Haryana State AIDS Control Society, as well as numerous universities and NGOs. With branches in 17 states and union territories of India and over 4000 active youth volunteers, NIFAA continues to make significant strides towards creating a better society and a peaceful world.
