NIFAA, the social, art, and cultural-based organization, began in September 2000 to mark a betterment and perform various welfare activities. It was set up as a non-governmental social organization at the elementary level and flagged as the National Institute of Fine Arts Samiti. Pritpal Singh Pannu, a prominent social worker, formed this organization. It was soon renamed the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists, i.e. NIFAA. NIFAA has found its niche in conducting various awareness activities in preventing social ills such as HIV AIDS, Drug Addiction, Female Feticide, and Dowry Deterrence; it has been working towards the betterment of weaker sections of the society, promotion of patriotic love and national integration, promotion of Indian folk arts and culture, environment safety programs, women empowerment and child welfare, adventure excursions, and especially cultural-based activities.
